Here’s a general women’s sizing chart to go by based on standard U.S. sizing. This chart provides basic measurements for the bust, waist, and hips, which are the most common dimensions for clothing.
What You’ll Need:
1. Bust
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it parallel to the floor.
Tip: Make sure the tape isn’t too tight — you should be able to fit one finger under it comfortably.
2. Waist
Find your natural waistline — it’s usually just above your belly button and below your rib cage.
Keep the tape snug but not constricting.
Tip: If you bend to one side, the crease that forms is your natural waist!
3. Hips
Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and bottom (usually about 8 inches below your waist).
Tip: Keep the tape straight and parallel to the floor all the way around.
